In The Dance of Shadows, Karaghiozis and the Tsolias meet before the Parthenon, uniting the popular and the monumental, humor and reverence. The Dance of Shadows is a playful homage to the Greek spirit — a celebration of identity, resilience, and imagination. These luminous, theatrical figures bring the shadow play into the light of the Acropolis, turning marble into a stage of living storytelling. Through the fusion of classical architecture and surreal narrative, I explore our relationship with cultural heritage, not as something static, but as a living force of creation. Here, art becomes an act of reinterpretation, a dialogue between past and present, where laughter reawakens history’s voice.
