The MASKES series is a visual dialogue between past and present. Through the language of digital illustration, the classical forms of ancient theatre are reborn, preserving their dramatic tension and symbolic power, yet infused with a new, pop aesthetic.
The masks, sometimes tragic and sometimes comic, are stripped of their marble weight and gain color, rhythm, and pattern. Each piece redefines the viewer’s relationship with the primordial symbol of human expression, the face.
The repetition of geometric motifs in the background creates an almost hypnotic visual environment, where the ancient meets contemporary design, and the sacred transforms into a playful interplay of forms and colors.
