THE TSAROUCHI CRAFTSMAN
“The Tsarouchi Craftsman” is, for me, the artisan who touched tradition with his own hands. In “The Tsarouchi Craftsman,” you see him bent over the leather, cutting, stitching, shaping it with patience, as if listening to
the pulse of the generations before him. The tsarouchi was not simply footwear; it was symbol, history, identity. His movements were calm and steady, without haste. The work required effort, but it also carried a deep pride,
to create something that would be worn in celebrations, in dances, in ceremonies. And these figures, even if we rarely encounter them today, remain within us as a reminder that tradition is not just the past; it is a hand,
a material, a breath that continues.
